Muscle Mondays: Top Strategies for Optimal Recovery Between Workouts

It's been a while since my last blog entry.

The past few months were eventful -- in a good way. But, during that time I collected articles, tips, and other health information to share with you! 

Today's topic is an important one: recovery between workouts.

Sometimes, (I know I've been guilty of this), we think the harder we work, and the longer we work, the greater the results. But, the truth is the time you spend working out is only one part of the equation necessary to achieve your fitness goals. Another big part of the equation: RECOVERY!


Exercise is the process of applying a physical stimulus to the tissues of the body. One thing that is often misunderstood is the fact that your body becomes stronger after you exercise, not during the actual workout. Top health and fitness professionals and strength coaches know that the real secret to getting results actually depends on what happens during the recovery period after the workout.

Too much exercise without proper rest and recovery can lead to injury or illness, both of which could keep you out of the gym for lengthy periods of time. So, if you want to maximize the benefits of your workouts, make sure you are scheduling in rest, proper nutrition, and recovery days.
